A National freight transportation company with over 60 terminals between Victoria and St. Johns is looking
for a Director, Operations Engineering.
The Director, Operations Engineering will work closely with the Vice
President, Operations and the regional operations staff to document and evaluate all current operating
processes and procedures to identify opportunities for areas of cost reduction and service enhancements.
Act as a liaison with Sales and Operations to develop expanded service offering to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate existing practices and process flows. Recommend and assist in the development of best practices,
standards and procedures.
- Develop comprehensive audit procedures and disciplines to ensure compliance with operating policies and
processes.
- Assist in the delivery of related procedures and processes, as required.
- Monitor expenses and service levels and assist regions in developing improvements.
- Assist in the development of new/expanded services and the integration of new customers.
- Manage specific service and expense control projects, as required.
To be considered for this role, the candidate will be a self-starter with strong communication and
interpersonal skills. Have a post secondary education or related experience, have extensive PC, spreadsheet
and database skills. At least 10+ years of progressive management experience along with strong project
management skills and the ability to travel on a frequent basis as required.
